April McNeel

April (Tyler) McNeel, 65, of Clearfield, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born April 11, 1953 in Penfield; a daughter of the late Franklin M. Tyler Jr. and Donna Jean (Marshall) Tyler.

For over 15 years April worked as a Life Skills Coach for various companies, worked at Sears as a sales associate, and was an EMT for four years. In 2005 she graduated LPN school from Jeff Tech.

She was a member of Clearfield Alliance Church and was a member of the OWLS. She enjoyed many things especially gardening, growing flowers, arts and crafts, bench rest shooting, and spending time with her family.

On August 5, 2006 April wed Howard C. McNeel III at the Anderson Creek Sportsman Club. In addition to her husband she is survived by three children: Dustin McNeel and his wife Amanda of Penfield, Heather McNeel and her husband Thomas Kotzbauer of Sykesville, and Travis McNeel and his wife Ashley of Reynoldsville; six grandchildren: Lacey Dodd, Tabitha McNeel, Harper McNeel, Jordan Kotzbauer, Justice Parris, and Renea Turner ; one great-grandson, Easton Dodd; sister, Debra Olson of Curwensville, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Ellenberger; brother, Walter Tyler; and brother-in-law, Ronald Olson.

Funeral services will be held at Clearfield Alliance Church, on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Robert B. Goldenberg officiating. Burial will be in Bundy Cemetery, Penfield.
