Autumn Shifter

Born on October 18, 1982 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Irene (Moslak) Lord of Clearfield and Larry Lord, of Smokerun.

Autumn was a graduate and class President of Curwensville Area High School, class of 2000. She was an honor student and was a member of Band and Chorus and was an excellent volleyball and softball player.

Upon graduation, she attended Lock Haven University, Clearfield graduating as a Registered Nurse. She began her nursing career working at Children’s Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Autumn had great compassion and understanding of her patient’s needs, thereby making her an exceptional nurse. She was recognized for her nursing skills, and received several awards, including the Daisy Award while employed. Autumn relocated to Clearfield working for area nursing homes and most recently was Director of Risk Management at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield. Autumn had a heart of gold and loved helping people in need.

On July 5, 2008 she wed Kevin A. Shifter, of Clearfield. She loved being a wife and was so very proud of her husband.

Autumn loved God and was a Christian by faith. She loved children, her puppies, Boyd and Maddie, cooking and creating new recipes, fishing, watching football, planning parties, and playing cards. Autumn had many talents and always gave 100% of herself in everything she did.

Our hearts are saddened by her passing. Her life was a blessing and memories of her will be forever treasured. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

Autumn is survived by her husband and her parents; paternal grandmother, Doris Lord of Clearfield, father-in-law, Duane Shifter of Clearfield, brother-in-laws, Brian Shifter, of Clearfield, Jeffrey Shifter and his wife, Adrianne of Pittsburgh, PA; niece, Gianna Shifter and nephew, John Shifter, both of Pittsburgh, PA; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Jennifer, mother-in-law, Marsha Shifter, maternal grandparents, Steve and Anna Moslak, and paternal grandfather, William Lord.

Funeral services for Autumn will be private. Interment will be in the Eden Cemetery, Goshen Twp. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
