

She was born on July 29, 1939 in Hyde the daughter of the late Floyd “Slim” Welch and Helen (Welker) Welch. On November 13, 1962, she married John D. Kukla, who passed away on September 3, 2013.
Retired, Beatrice had worked for Clear-Care in Clearfield and independently as a nurse’s aide.
Beatrice was a member of Curwensville Alliance Church. She served as the Hemlock Girl Scout leader and unit director for many years.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, puzzles and spending time with her family.
Beatrice is survived by her five daughters: Bonnie Emigh and her husband Wayne of Woodland, Valerie D. Holthouse and her husband Mark of Clymer, NY, Cherie Bloom of Curwensville, Heather Kukla-Alaverz and her husband Arthur of Richland, MI and Helen A. Miller and her husband Arthur of Cory, PA; eight grandchildren: Kirk Bloom, Jennifer Bloom, Cole Holthouse, Elizabeth Bloom, Monica Emigh, Cody Holthouse, Nathan Miller and Amilia Miller; one great grandson, Ryder Bloom; four siblings: Shirley White of Clearfield, Larry Welch and his wife Gwen of Olanta, Dorothy Passmore and her husband Bob of Olanta and Kimberly Selfridge and her husband Bill of Clearfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson Daniel Emigh.
Friends will be received from 2pm until the hour of service which will be held at 3pm at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, November 10, 2017 with Rev. John White officiating. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery.
