Betty J. Franek

Betty J. (Condon) Franek, 73, of Olanta passed away at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Curwensville on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Born on February 18, 1952 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late William & Vivian Condon.

She was Methodist by faith.

Betty graduated from Clearfield Area High School.

She loved playing bingo. Her family and friends meant the world to her.

Betty was married to the late Steven P. Franek of Olanta.

She is survived by her daughter Melinda Elbel (Clark) of Punxsutawney and her “bonus” daughters, Laura Orr of Jeannette and Tammy Moler of Baltimore, MD.

Betty adored her granddaughter, Natalie Elbel who survives.

Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, William Condon (Janet) of Mineral Springs, Jackie McGee (Sam), Leland Condon (Sandee), Peggy Larson (Dave), and Chris Condon (Audrey) all of Clearfield along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her “bonus” son, Stevie Franek, her brother, Ron Condon, and two sisters, Marie Johnson and Rheba Williams.

All services will be private. Interment will be at St. Severin Roman Catholic Cemetery, Morrisdale, PA.
