Betty Lou Hanes

She was born April 27, 1946, in Clearfield, the daughter of the late James Daniel and Wanda Virginia (Brown) Quinn.

Betty was a member of the Hyde Baptist Church. She was a past member of the F.O.E. Ladies Auxiliary, Clearfield and the Clearfield VFW.

Betty had worked at The Kurtz Brothers, Clearfield Cheese Factory and Kents Sportswear. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Ceramics and Crocheting.

Betty is survived by 4 sons, Jerry Dale Hanes, Jr., Grampian; Greg A. Hanes and his wife Jeannine L. of Clearfield; Michael S. Hanes and wife Kristen, Curwensville; Scott A. Hanes and his wife Amanda, Carlisle, PA; a step son: Randy J. Hanes, West Decatur; 7 grandchildren: Erica M. Hanes, Emily R. Hanes, Morgan D. Hanes, Trenten S. Hanes, Sierra S. Hanes, Kilee R. Hanes and Jordan M. Hanes; a sister: Dorothy Jean Wisor, Clearfield.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Five brothers: Edward James, John Nolan, James Richard, Patrick Gene and Barry Duane “Bud” Quinn.

Funeral services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sallie Swenson officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM the hour of the service.
