David Hroy Owens

He was born on January 31, 1943 in Lawrence Twp. to Chester A. Owens and Olive Mae (Ogden) Owens. He attended Clearfield High School, in the class of 1962. He served in the United States Army Reserves.

Dave married the love of his life, Sharon L. (Hayward) Owens on June 19, 1965 at the West Side Methodist Church. They had recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

He worked for Harbison-Walker until it's closing, Ford Motor Co., in Ohio, and Precise Plastics in State College until his retirement.

Dave was a very kind and gracious man, a devoted family man; his wife and son meant the world to him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He enjoyed his retirement sitting on his patio and watching wildlife in his backyard.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon, son Gregory and fiancee, Keri of Clearfield, sister Patricia of Florida, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Franklin Owens and Raymond W. Owens.

Respecting Dave's wishes, a private family gathering to honor his life will be held at a later time.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
