

Mrs. Fama was born on October 11, 1924 in Altoona, PA to the late Joseph and Josephine (Sampino) Calabrese.
She worked at McGregor’s Sportswear as a seamstress and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Fama was a member of St. Francis Church in Clearfield.
She enjoyed cooking and baking Italian cookies with her friends from the neighborhood.
She is survived by three daughters; Rose Marie Fama, Mary Jo (Fama) Rowles, and husband, Christopher, and Natalie Ann Fama all of Clearfield; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Dewees and husband, Thomas of Maryland, and Jennifer Kalin and husband, Todd of Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Shane Dewees, Lily and Sloane Kalin; sister, Emily Turchetta of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony J. Fama, Sr. whom she married October 5,1946 in Altoona at Mt. Carmel Church; son, Anthony Fama, Jr.; and siblings, Katherine DiMauro, Florence Basaites, and John Calabrese.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Clearfield with Father John Miller officiating.
Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9p.m.; and an additional hour of viewing on Thursday from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
