Donald Robert Waters

Donald Robert Waters, 82 of Clearfield, was called home by our Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of Patricia Ruth (Kaufman) Waters, Clearfield whom he married October 15, 1966.

Born August 16, 1931 in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late William H. and Dorothy (Reichstein) Waters.

Donald was a veteran of the US Navy. He was employed as a controller for the US Department of the Army at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover , NJ during Vietnam then in 1960 Donald left for a job with the Department of the Navy in Washington DC.

Donald was a member of West Side United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, collecting guns both antique and modern, swords and knives. He was an avid Steeler and Penn State Fan. Donald also enjoyed model trains, flea markets, yard sales and automobiles.

Surviving are three daughters and a son: Holly Marie Waters; William Harrison Waters, Jr.; Karen Elizabeth Waters, Clearfield; Kristen Elaine Waters, Ligonier; sister-in-law: Jacqueline Carns, Clearfield; Brother-in-law: Gerald Kaufman and his wife Judy, Clearfield; also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: William Waters.

There will be no public viewing. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Donald will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at West Side United Methodist Church Chapel, 317 Nichols Street, Clearfield.

Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust Street, Clearfield is assisting the family with their arrangements.
