Born on June 8, 1929 in McCartney, PA she was the daughter of William and Annie (Katcher) Hamm.
Edith graduated from the Madera High School, Madera, PA.
She was attended the Houtzdale United Methodist Church, Houtzdale, PA where she attended Sunday School and belonged to the ladies group of the church.
Edith married Everett Mosley on December 16, 1950 in Coalport, PA. Together they raised their children. She enjoyed being a homemaker, sewing, painting, and canning.
Edith is survived by her children, Cynthia Baughman and her husband, Artie of Woodland, John J. Mosley and his wife, Cheryl of Clearfield, daughter-in-law, Barbara Mosley of Shippensburg, PA; three grandchildren, Mark Jacobs, Jr. and his wife, Ashleigh of Verona, PA, Matthew Mosley of Bethesda, MD, Benjamin Mosley and his wife, Emily of Shippensburg, PA, and one great-granddaughter, Marleigh Jacobs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edith was the last of her generation. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Everett who died on April 15, 2006, a son, Wayne, four sisters, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ James, Charlotte Molner, Phyllis Raab, Shirley Dawson, and four brothers, George Hamm, James Hamm, William Hamm, and Edward Hamm.
Friends will be received at The Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E Locust St. Clearfield, PA on Sunday, December 10 from 1 -5 p.m. and on Monday, December 11 from 10 – 11 a.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Monday with Pastor Robert Ford officiating.
Interment will follow at Crown Crest Cemetery, Hyde, PA.
