Elaine Michael

Born July 8, 1919 in Curry Run, PA she was the daughter of Daniel and Maud (Johnson) Nolen.

Mrs. Michael had worked for the Clearfield Area School District, and Ames Department Store in Clearfield.

She was a member of West Side United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was active in the No 7 Sunday School Class. She was also a former Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and a dedicated volunteer throughout the community.

Mrs. Michael is survived by two children; Dennis N. Michael of York, PA and Jacqueline Chesebro and son in law Stephen of Gastonia, NC, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Dortha Shenton of Denver Co.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of forty six years, Neal Michael, six sisters Wilma Henry, Glenora Aue, Hermine Bell, Eleanor Johnson, Genevieve Dickey and Nina Johnston and a brother Daniel Nolen.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Dick Michael officiating. Interment will be in LaJose Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour

of services.
