She was born on June 13, 1918, in Pine Creek, Jefferson County, to Clifton Monroe and Margaret Vernetta Mohney.
On October 5, 1947, she wed William Fredrick Eckman who preceded her in death on August 20, 1999.
She attended Christ United Methodist Church in Clearfield.
She is survived by a brother, Robert Guy, two sons: William Eckman, Jr. and his wife Chris, of Fenton, Michigan and Robert Eckman and his wife Bonnie, of Bangor, PA, a daughter, Rose Wonderling and her husband, Tom, of Clearfield, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Mike, a daughter, Donna Sue, three brothers; Eugene Edward, Leonard Leroy, Marlin Lee and a sister, Martha Irene Brothers.
At Jessie’s request there was no public service or visitation. The family plans a private memorial service at a later date.
