Leah Jean Billotte

Leah Jean Billotte, 69 of Milton, PA and formerly of Clearfield, PA, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at home.

Born on December, 31, 1940 in Ridgway, PA, she was the daughter of Raymond Delbert and Ester Lucile (Spotts) Ostrum.

Mrs. Billotte retired from the Clearfield Hospital after twenty-five years of service as a registered Nurse.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Clearfield, PA. Mrs. Billotte was also a member of the Pennsylvania Nurses Association and the Clearfield Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.

Mrs. Billotte is survived by two daughters: Dana Lynne Frierson and her husband Reginald of Antioch, TN and Courtney Ann Godown and her husband James of Milton, PA; four step-children: Ronald Eugene Billotte, Jr. and his wife Anita of Whitsett, NC, Marie Louise McGovern and her husband Alan of LeContes Mills, PA, Mark Alan Billotte and his wife Barbara of Cincinnati, OH and Thomas Lee Billotte and his wife Michele of Clearfield; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandson. Also surviving is a brother, Raymond Ostrum and his wife Karen of Bradford, PA and a sister, Robin Lucile Burns and her husband Kevin of Saugerties, NY and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald E. Billotte, whom she married on December 10, 1966 and who passed away on October 13, 2002; a step-son, Kyle Palmer and a sister, Shirley Joann Ostrum.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust Street, Clearfield, PA, with Rev. Dr. Robert L. Rupp officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde, PA.

Friends will be received on Monday, October 4, 2010 at the funeral home from 7:00-9:00 PM and on Tuesday, from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 121 South Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 733 Third Avenue, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10017 or to the charity of the donors choice.

Was sad to learn of Leah's death. The class of '58 is getting smaller. I have many fond memories of Leah. Especially of our Girl Scout trip to Mystic, Conn. My sincere sympathy to you on your loss. She was certainly a dear person.

Ah Courtney and Dana...my heart is with you in your saddness. Your Mom and I go way back...67 years is my recollect. What a wonderful person...so many memories I have and know you too have.
