Marsha A. Shifter, 70, of Clearfield, passed away Friday, May 04, 2018 at Knickerbocker Villa. She was born on December 7, 1947 in Clearfield, the daughter of the late Paul and Gertrude (Livergood) Kyler. On July 19, 1969 she married Duane Shifter at Westside United Methodist Church. Marsha was a 1965 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and 1966 graduate of DuBois Business College. She went on to work at Clearfield School District as a teacher’s aide. She was a member of Center Grove United Methodist Church. One of her favorite pastimes was reading. Marsha is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Duane Shifter of Clearfield, three sons: Brian Shifter of Clearfield, Kevin Shifter and his wife Autumn of Clearfield, Jeffery Shifter and his wife Adrianne and two grandchildren: John and Gianna Shifter all of Pittsburgh; a brother, Richard Kyler and his fiancé Vicki McCauslin of Rockton, a sister, Sharon Domire and her husband Rod of College Station, TX; a sister-in-law: Jeannine Barger and her husband Robert of Clearfield; two aunts: Joan Marshall of Jersey Shore and Jean Price and her husband James of Clearfield; four nephews and two nieces. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-8pm on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held from 10am until the hour of service on Monday at the funeral home.
