Mary J. Mahlon, 79, of Rockton, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Penn Highlands Clearfield. Mrs. Mahlon was born November 7, 1939 in Clearfield, the daughter of Joseph B. and Agnus E. (Lansberry) Lanich. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Mahlon was affiliated with the Baptist Faith. She was a member of the Clearfield 2nd Ward Fire Company Ladies Auxillary. Mary is survived by three daughters; Linda J. Kruies of DuBois, Beverly L. Coder and her husband James E. Sr. and Violet M. Mahlon all of Clearfield, eight grandchildren; Melissa S. Johnson, Brandie L. Burgess, Shawn A. Kruies, James E. Coder, Jr., Samantha E. Morgan, Jason A. Lentz, Anthony Mahlon and Damion High, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, three brothers; Walter Lanich of Mt. Arie, MD and Paul Lanich and Fred Lanich both of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mahlon was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil M. Mahlon, three sisters; Betty J. McLaughlin, Dorothy Walk and Donna Modzel and a brother, Charles Lanich. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Dr. Duane White officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM until the hour of services.
