Mr. Wisor was born May 22, 1949 in Clearfield, the son of Thomas “Ky” Earl Wisor and Jane (Mullen) Wisor.
He had worked for Penn Lines, Harbison Walker, various lumbering jobs, Bradford Coal and Penelec; having retired from the Shawville Power Plant in May 2010.
Mr. Wisor is survived by his wife, Susan J. (Von Gunden) Wisor whom he married January 27, 1973 at St. John Lutheran Church of Clearfield, two children; Amanda Fleming and her husband Shawn of Urbana, MD and Michael Wisor of Alexandria, VA, two grandchildren; Sydney Jeane and Evan Michael Fleming, two sisters; Susan Bender and her husband Norman of Philipsburg and Gwen Plubell and her husband Gary of Bigler and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Thomas Wisor.
Mr. Wisor was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield.
Mike had a passion for baseball from childhood and also participated in softball as an adult. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, motorcycling, water skiing and horseback riding. While serving as campground volunteers, Mike and Sue made many new friendships. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren who brought him much joy.
Funeral Services will be held at the West Side United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating. Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 2 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the West Side United Methodist Church, 317 Nichols Street, Clearfield, PA 16830, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan.org) or a charity of your choice.
