

Mr. McCracken was born May 12, 1926 in Clearfield, the son of Daniel H. and Edna (Buck) McCracken.
He had worked for Robinson Clay for 21 years and in carpentry for 22 years.
Mr. McCracken was Protestant by Faith.
He was a member of the Clearfield FOE Aerie # 812 having served as President and was PA State President and trustee. He was also a member of the Clearfield American Legion Post # 6, Carpenters Union # 1088, AARP and Clearfield Third Ward Hose Company.
Mr. McCracken was a United States Army Veteran having served during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
Orville is survived by his wife, Erma J. (Ireland) McCracken whom he married November 4, 1991, three sons; Eric O. McCracken of Atlanta, GA, Neil D. McCracken and his companion Janet and Alan L. McCracken and his wife Teresa all of Clearfield, eleven grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, two step-daughters; Bonnie Luzier and Michelle Neff both of Clearfield and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Mark A. McCracken, four sisters; Clara, Maxine, Ethel and Almeda and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne McCracken.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Rev. John F. White officiating. The FOE will conduct a service and military honors will be accorded by the Clearfield Honor Guard. Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 AM until the hour of services.
Immediately following services a time of luncheon and fellowship will be held at the Clearfield FOE Aerie #812, 310 E. Market Street, Clearfield , PA 16830.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 108R North Second Street, Suite 1 B, Clearfield, PA 16830.
