Patricia E. Hunter

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Patricia Eliane Barrett Hunter, lovingly known as Patte, age 67, of Clearfield. Patte departed peacefully at her home on February 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Casablanca, Morocco, on December 23, 1958, Patte was a woman of unwavering faith and compassion. She devoted much of her life to serving others, especially through her meaningful work with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Her kindness and dedication left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Patte was preceded in death by her parents, Rex Duane Barrett and Marie Eliane Delamare Barrett, foster mother Lois Tubbs and her niece, Pia Barrett. She is survived by her foster father Vern Tubbs, and her beloved husband, Eric Hunter and her three children: Summer Karolczuk (Karol), Holli Chandler (Keith) and David Baker (Jaekuem). Patte also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: MaiKayla Blake, Kaylei Chandler, Alexiane Baker and Edwin Baker. She found great joy in her passions - art, books, music and crocheting - which brought beauty and comfort to her life and those around her. Patte's gentle spirit, creativity and generosity will be remembered always.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, honoring Patte's lifelong commitment to helping others.
