

Mrs. McCracken was born April 6, 1925 in Jordan Township, the daughter of Blair and Agnes (Owens) Tubbs.
She attended the Green Run School of Marron and graduated from Practical Bible Training, now Davis College in Johnson City, NY.
Mrs. McCracken had worked for several years at a Jewish Mission in Brooklyn, NY. She also ministered to the children of Clearfield County through Sunday School teaching, Child Evangelism and starting various Vacation Bible Schools.
Pearl was a homemaker, wonderful mother and friend. She was known for her homemade bread and butter and always having cookies in the freezer for all who visited her.
She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church of Ansonville.
Pearl is survived by four children; Kathleen Braid and her husband Dann of Lansing, NY, Peggy McCully and her husband Jeffery and Carlton R.”Rich” McCracken Jr. and his wife Marlene all of Curwensville and Julie Beth McCracken of Brockway , seven grandchildren; Cindy Benequez, Jeffery McCully and Katie McCully, Matthew McCracken, Joshua McCracken and Elisabeth Peterson and Michael Braid, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the last member of her generation having been preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carlton R. McCracken, five sisters; Margaret Predmore, Emma Summers, Ruth McCracken, Mary Tubbs and Cartha Robbins, three brothers; John, Blake and Roy Tubbs and a foster brother, George Daugherty
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Engle officiating. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Marron.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield and on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Zion Baptist Church, 12004 Tyrone Pike, Irvona, PA 16656.
