Phyllis Diane Venerick

Born November 25, 1947, in Clearfield, the daughter of Lawrence and Phyllis (Mellott) Crawford.

She was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School, Class of 1965 and the Harrisburg Business School.

Phyllis had been employed by Brody’s, Clearfield Bank and Trust, Clearfield Elementary School and the Clearfield East End Uni Mart.

She was a former member of West Side United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday School and the former Christ United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Venerick had served with the Clearfield EMS, was an avid antiquer, especially collecting glassware, loved animals and had a charitable heart for others.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Frank C. Venerick, Jr., whom she married April 3, 1981, three daughters: Melissa Neff (Dennis II) of Curwensville, Rebecca Venerick of Clearfield and Megan Venerick-Giffin (Jeremy) of Harrisburg, three grandchildren: Quentin Neff, Lillian Neff and Jacob Millinder, two great- grandchildren and a nephew, David Crawford.

She was the last member of her generation having been preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lawrence Crawford.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Cowfer officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the hour of services.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
