Born on January 21, 1947 in Michigan, he was the son of the late Harold and Ethel Day.
Bob graduated from Armada High School, attended Michigan State, and earned his broadcasting degree from the Electronics Institute of Technology in Detroit.
He came to Clearfield in 1967 to work at WCPA. For the past 11 years, he has been very happily employed at WOKW.
Bob loved people and enjoyed his morning walks and visits with his many friends, including his Friday morning breakfast group. He was always honored to be asked to MC or announce at an event, DJ a dance, or help out in any way needed.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jackie Lansberry; his beloved son, Matt and his wife Rosalie Day; and his much adored grandchildren: Mia Troxell (Jordan) of Altoona, Candise Day of Woodland, Victoria Kapopoulos (Niko) of Butler and Cady and Zane Day of Woodland; and his sweet great grandchildren: Savannah and Leo; he is also survived by a sister, Helen and sister-in-law, Marlene of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harold Day Jr.
The family will receive friends from 1-3pm on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 3pm at the church with Rev. John Baney officiating Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
