He was a funny person in school and he was the best teacher I will ever had.
Mr. Rishel always left us sleep, before starting class. He told me one time that he hopes my children will have him as a teacher too.
I just want to say to him, thank you for being my teacher.

Rod, It's difficult to lose your Dad.  My thoughts are with you.

To the family,  I am saddened by your loss.  As Vicke mentioned,  Mr. Rishel was the only one who saw our vision to have girls track team. He graciously took the challenge  and produced several winning girls including a state champion . I'm thankful that he passed my way. Continued Blessings you and your family.

Rod Rishel cared about the students of CHS as evidenced in his teaching as well as his devotion to SAAD.  I was impressed by his dedication in bringing the  best information to the students.

I am so sorry to hear abut the passing of your father. I enjoyed the stories you shared with me about his football career. We will be thinking out you and your family and you will be in our prayers. Rest in peace.

I didn't have you as a teacher when at CHS but have heard great things from others who did. You had changed so much over the years before I became friends with you and Ellen 4 years ago.  "Vegetable talk" connected us in the beginning.  I was then glad to take you on as a MT client. I am thankful for Ellen Hoover Rishel who listened w/o judgement and consoled me through my own hard times. What good friends you have been.  It was such an honor to continue MT with you through the end of your experience here on earth.  Thanks Rod for your recent guidance as I respect your opinion.  You will be missed greatly and remembered.

Dear Rod,
I was saddened today to hear of your passing. I am sure Marie, Kim, Karen, Grace, patty and a host of others feel honored to have been on the track team you helped start. Your are very much responsible for teaching and training me to become a state champion in the javelin way back in 1977. To my knowledge, I am still the one and only track and field state champion from Clearfield. I am also grateful for the team mates I had in every sport I was part of. All the lessons I learned from you and them are the very things I hope I've passed on to all I've coached myself. I'm sure you will be missed. There's no doubt God in heaven will be rolling in laughter because of your jokes.

Dear Rod and family, I was very sad to hear of your father's passing.  He always had time to share with me how you were doing and where life had taken you.  He was your biggest fan. He will be sadly missed.

"It's a beautiful day in Pennsylvania." is something I will never forget my high school health teacher saying everday when we began class at Clearfield High School. What a wonderful attitude toward life? I don't know anyone who wanted to "live" more than he did. God had a different plan. But, while he was here, Rod certainly made the most of the time he was given. He wanted to teach everyone about being healthy and leading a healthy life. Over these last few years, my husband and I were happy to be the ones who made him his healthy salads, and we are so thankful for his faithful patronage. Rod definitely used the talents that God gave him to teach others many important things and especially about living healthy. I'm thankful to have gotten to know him and his beautiful wife, Ellen.

Mr Rishel had a great sense of humor and brought so much energy to his classes. He really cared about us. He also raised a nice son in Rod. Condolences to Rod and the rest of the family.

I remember Mr. Rishel as a teacher and Physical Ed instructor from school. Always upbeat and a good guy. My deepest condolences to the family in this time of sadness. The community has lost a good friend.

Very sorry to hear of Mr. Rishel's passing.  Yes I had him as my heath teacher.  But as a youth we hung out many of days playing football and whiffle ball in his backyard with his son Roddy. Sure do miss those days.  Mr. Rishel will missed.  Sorry for the Rishel families loss.
