He was born on July 5, 1936 in Clearfield, the son of the late Harold L. Schucker and Marie (Carson) Schucker. On August 16, 1959 he married Beverly A. (Coble) Schucker, who passed away on December 21, 1990.
Ronald was a 1954 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. He was the owner and operator of Schucker Refrigeration for over 25 years. He was also previously employed by Napa Auto Parts and went on to retire from Berg Electronics in the late 90’s.
He was a lifelong attendee of Kerr Addition United Methodist Church. He was a proud member of the Elks. He served in the United States Army.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and camping with his family. He was a fan of blue grass country music which lead to his interest of hosting hoedowns at his house with friends and family. Ronald was a skilled wood worker, craftsmen and mechanically inclined. He had developed a high level of skill and became the local expert to seek when repairs needed to be done.
Ronald will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his three children: Timothy L. Schucker and wife Valerie J. of Clearfield, Gary L. Schucker of Johnstown, Denise R. Swatsworth and her husband Robert D. of Clearfield; seven grandchildren: Matthew Schucker and his fiancé Alyson Spaid, Rebecca Martin, Corrinne, Grant and Gavin Schucker, David Swatsworth and his wife Rachel, Derek Swatsworth and his wife Celeste; three great grandchildren: Christian and Micayla Martin and Blair Swatsworth; three siblings: Dorothy Kable Clearfield, Sandra Daub of Lancaster and Larry Schucker of Rochester, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Grace Jordan Schucker, his siblings: an infant brother Donald Schucker, Byron Schucker, Ruth Condon, Kenneth Schucker, a step brother Ronald Cole and step sister Patricia Fisher.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Mark Brower officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery

Friends will be received from 6-9pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10am until the hour of services.
