Ruth Ellen Hile

Born on March 20, 1945, in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, she was the cherished daughter of Elvie and Mae (Wisor) Reasinger.

Ruth was a dedicated homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She was married to Thomas E. Hile, and together they built a loving family. She is survived by her children: Bridget Spingola (Steve) of Clearfield, PA; Thomas E. Hile, Jr. (Tara) of Woodland, PA; Sue Peoples (Jim) of Hyde, PA; and Jerry Hile (Mandy) of Grampian, PA. Ruth was also a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and she leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nancy Dixon.

Ruth had a passion for camping with her family and was an active participant in Pinup Bowling Leagues. She also enjoyed gambling, with a particular fondness for slot machines.

She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield.

Ruth Ellen Hile's legacy of love and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Faith Bible Church, 398 Grandview Rd., Curwensville, PA 16833. Interment will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Clearfield.
