
Born on March 28, 1956 in Salina, Kansas, he was the son of Donald and Bernice (Borst) Bauman.
Shane was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School and served his country in the U.S. Army.
On December 19, 1986 he wed the former Kathy Oswalt in Philipsburg. Together, he and his wife raised their four children. Shane taught his children to give true and unselfish love to your family; to live life to the fullest.
Shane was employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad as a mechanic and retired after more than 30 years of service.
He followed his own advice and lived his life to the fullest. He was a member of the American Legion Post 6, Clearfield; loved to spend time with his family and his dogs, fondly referred to as his fur babies. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, bird watching, and woodworking.
Shane is survived by his wife Kathy, four children, Shane Sterling Bauman, Jr. and his wife, Dreimy, Amber Bauman, Shadoe Bauman and his wife, Courtney, Shawna Bauman-James; eight grandchildren, Gabriel, Elizabeth, Blake, Emerson, Benson, Selina, Damian, Jasmine, and one great-grandson; two sisters, December McGovern and Autumn Gladfelter and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by fur babies, Baby Girl, Bella, Ruca and feathered friend, Duffy.
Shane is preceded in death by his parents and fur babies, Muffet, Pisser, Maxie, and Kia.
Friends will be received at The Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust St., Clearfield, PA on Wednesday, December 14 from 5 – 8 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services will begin in the funeral home with Rev. John White officiating.
The Clearfield Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the funeral home.
