Shirley Ann Sloan

Mom was welcomed into Eternity's Arms where Parkinson's and other Earthly woes will touch her no more. She walked all her Life in kindness and humility. To Mom Friendships were what made Life so Sweet and Strangers were just Friends waiting happen. Being a Friend to others brought Great Joy to her and others throughout her Life. And what a Gift she was to those who knew her. We are brokenhearted at her passing but so Thankful for her Time with us. She was and still is very much loved and will be remembered Sweetly by her Family and Friends.... We will always remember her telling us how much she loved living in Florida and couldn't soak up enough Sunshine! She was so grateful for the Community of Friends found at Jensens Beach. And loved going to the Neighborhood Clubhouse and playing Mahjong and Rummikub. She was grateful to help at the local foodbank, and was loved her church friends made in DE and FL who will miss her dearly.

I’m am so very sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. She was an amazing person and I have so many memories of her. Even way back to New Jersey when she would open her house to my family when we would come to visit ( my brother Mark, my mom Ann and dad Charlie). She was loved by us all! I can hear her laugh! It was seriously the BEST! I know my mom enjoyed all the trips and adventures they’d go on together with Bonnie and Barbara and all the other friends they got together with! I’m thinking of all of her family during this difficult time. I find some comfort that she’s up in heaven with all those who loved her and I can hear her, Ann and Charlie England laughing hysterically ❤️ Many prayers to you all!

Michael, Christopher and Family, I just found out about your Mom's passing and am so sorry. You have lost a wonderful Mom who could only say good things about everyone and had such a zest for life. Ann, Bonnie and I had many travel adventures together and your Mom was always the leader. I will miss her smile and wit. She had just called me a short time ago saying she was coming home to PA and I had hoped to see her there, I'm sorry I didn't get that opportunity.

Bonnie and Rose, I am so sorry for your loss, she was the best.

Michael and Christopher, Joe and I extend our condolences to you and your family and to Shirl's sister, Bonnie, and her family! Shirl was an amazing friend and neighbor and we share your loss. She was the kindest person I have ever met, her sense of humor could brighten even the cloudiest day! I think of her every time I make her carrot cake and I have so many wonderful recipes from her, she was the best baker! Her visits were always full of laughter and when she, Bonnie and Anne England came to New England to visit us we had such a great time! The last time we spoke, she was looking forward to your visit to FL, she was so proud of you! We will miss her, sending hugs to you all!

My heartfelt condolences to Shirl’s family. I’m heartbroken when I found out that the Lord called her into Heaven. Heaven gained a beautiful angel. I have many fond memories of her from when we attended Business and Travel School in Annapolis MD and then worked at several travel agencies together over the years. There wasn’t a mean bone in Shirl’s body and she always had a smile on her face. She touched so many lives and will be truly missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with Shirl and her family during this difficult time.

I worked with Shirley and she was a pure JOY! She was so friendly and full of spunk! Such a genuine lady and even though we have not worked together for years, she is someone who I will never forget. I’m so sorry for her loss and send sincere condolences to her family.

Aunt Shirley was a mom to me most of my life. One person I could talk to without judgement but support and encouragement. She was the kindest, most giving person I've known. She meant so much to me and forever will be in my heart. God truly received another angel.
