Vivian Eleanor Rowles

She was born on December 16, 1926 in Osceola Mills RD, the daughter of the late Loris and Ruth Kephart. On June 18, 1949 she married William J. Rowles, who passed away on March 14, 2004.

Eleanor was a 1945 graduate of Houtzdale High School. Before she was married she worked for Airplane and Marine Factory in Hyde, Cigar Plant in Phillipsburg; after she was married she cleaned houses and reupholstered furniture in the Clearfield area.

She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church until it closed; she then attended Kerr Addition United Methodist and Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Bradenton, FL. She was a member of the Sanborn Grange for 60 years.

She enjoyed sewing, cleaning and the family get together on Sunday evenings.

Eleanor is survived by her three children: Sandra and her husband Edward Brown of Clearfield, Cathy and her husband Roger Larson of Lanse and Gregory and his wife Carol Rowles of Clearfield; three grandchildren: Brenda Strouse, Bridget Knepp and Andrew Larson; five great grandchildren: Mason, Abby and Caleb Strouse, Dakota and Daisy Knepp. She is also survived by a sister, Norma Davis of Houston, TX, and two brothers: Wallace Kepart of Morrisdale and Rodger Kephart of Houtzdale.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Harold and Arden Kephart, a sister, Phyllis Smith and an infant sister, Melinda Kephart.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on November 22, 2014 at the Kerr Addition United Methodist.
