William W. Straw

He was born on January 13, 1946, in Clearfield, the son of the late Joseph and Jean (Faulkner) Straw.

Mr. Straw had worked at the Glen Gary Brickyard and had retired from the Clearfield Machine Company.

He was affiliated with the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Clearfield.

Mr. Straw served in the U.S. Reserves and was a member of the John Lewis Shade Post #6 of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Ruth A. (Kephart) Straw, whom he married on March 25, 1967, four children; Sherri A. White and her husband, Bill, of Clearfield, William J. Straw and his wife, Patricia, of Washington D.C., Robert J. Straw and his wife, Aretta, of Curwensville, PA and Kevin L. Straw of Clearfield, seven grandchildren; Robert J. Straw, Jr., Adam E. Straw, Gavin J. Straw, Samuel M. Straw, Payge E. Straw, Christian A. Straw and Luke E. Straw, a sister, Linda M. Daniel, of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Straw was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis D. Straw.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield with Dr. Duane White officiating. Interment will be held in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 6-9 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 until the hour of the services.
