He was born in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin on March 27, 1951 to the late Lloyd & Eva (Martin) Haas.
Raised on a farm, Allen was no stranger to hard work, and he made his living as an excavator. He loved working outside, using his creative energy for all sorts of tradecraft. Those who knew him best called him “Chainsaw”, and knew he was always building things, whether it be with wood, or creating useful gadgets. He had a tough demeanor with hands to match. He was generous and kind in his own way.
His family and friends dearly miss him, and we will continue to hold Allen in our hearts.
Allen is survived by his brother, Robert Haas, sister, Susan Haas, and his niece, Crystal Haas.
Join us for a graveside celebration of “Chainsaw” at 11am on Saturday, October 24th at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, Florida. Reception to follow at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home.
