Ludi, as she is affectionately referred to by all those who know and love her, was the matriarch of her family and a true trailblazer in every sense of the word. At 22, and with a 6 month old baby, Ludi sadly lost her first husband.
She quickly realized that she could make a future in the US, and embarked to the NY at 23. Over the course of 10 years, she remarried, had her second son, Roland, and brought her first son to the US. Soon after, she began the process of doing the necessary to have her family join her in the US. In less than 5 years, she was able to get the family of 7 in Haiti, to join her in the Bronx, NY. There she lived until she retired at 50, and our young trailblazer setoff again to Clearwater, Florida. Soon after, her family once again followed her lead. One by one they found their way to Jacksonville, Orlando, Palm Coast, Fort Lauderdale all within proximity of Ludi in Clearwater, Florida.
Ludi was fearless, confident, outspoken, and joyful. Her impact on our family is profound and will never be forgotten.
