Andrea Lee Hairelson, 75 of Clearwater FL, passed away October 23, 2026. She was born in Madison Wisconsin on June 18, 1951. Andrea graduated from Dixie Hollins High School in St. Petersburg, Florida and soon married Earl Hairelson, her husband of 35 years. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida and became a practicing Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery. Not done yet, Andrea balanced family commitments and devotion to their young son Jason while earning her Juris Doctor (JD) from the Stetson University College of Law. Applying her medical industry experience, Andrea became a successful Attorney in Healthcare Law for the next 25 years.
Andrea had an unmatched zest for life and put her heart and soul into everything she did. Her love and loyalty to family and friends ran deep, and those who met her quickly knew they had encountered someone special. She treasured family vacations with Earl and their son Jason, especially their Caribbean cruises, and her love of travel took her to all seven continents, including Antarctica. Africa was especially close to her heart. In retirement, Andrea continued giving back by volunteering at local animal shelters and using her legal background to advocate for nursing home residents to help ensure they received the care they deserved. She also enjoyed music and live concerts, fine wine, and supporting her favorite Tampa Bay sports teams.
Andrea was survived by her son Jason, daughter in law Christine, her companion Dale, her cat Fuzzy, and nieces and nephews Kim, Simone, Gary, and David.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Hairelson, parents Irene and Robert Codere, brother Robert, and sister Robin.
A Celebration of Life honoring Andrea will be held at a later date. Additional details will be shared with family and friends.
