Andrew (Andy) M. Skeels of Sanford, FL passed away at the age of 72 on September 8, 2026. Andy was born on July 11,1954 in Michigan but lived most of his life in Florida. He is preceded in death by his mother, Billie Tucker Skeels, and his father, Philip (Phil) Skeels. He is survived by his brothers Jeff Skeels (Brenda), Kelly Skeels (Sandy), and nephews Niko (Becca), Jeffery (Victoria), Matthew, and Zach, niece Corrine (Mike), great niece Harper and great nephew Carter.
After graduating from Leto High School in Tampa, FL, Andy joined the Air Force and became a Senior Airman. In his younger years, Andy was a great support to his younger brother Kelly after their mother passed away. Although Andy never married or had children, his 2 cats (Pooky and Peanut) were loved like his children. They never left his side.
Andy worked in the quality control field his entire career. He retired when he was 70. He was also a long time fan of drag racing and at one time was a pit crew member.
Andy will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
