Angela Leone Mills Dixon Lucido was born on July 25,1933 to Grace S. Mills and Orville N. Mills in Albany, New York. Angie (as she was known to family and friends) of Seminole, Florida for 53 yrs passed away peacefully June 17,2022 from complications of a stroke while visiting her daughter in Texas.
Angie spent her youngest years in a convent learning, drawing and dreaming. When she was 20 she was in the top 10 finalist in the San Diego, CA beauty pageant. As a young bride and mother she loved making doughnuts and they were the "BEST"! Angie pursued a career in secretarial work after her children were school age. She worked for National Education Agency in D.C and then in 1969 moved to Florida, she work at the Episcopal Church in Pinellas Point and finally National Insurance Agency in Kenneth City. In her later years she enjoyed traveling with family and lots of shopping. Being the beauty she was, she liked pretty blouses, scarves, jewelry and purses...LOTS OF THEM!
Angie loved to love people! She gave generously to family, friends and strangers alike with the hope of making their lives just a little better. She had a passion for animals, so much so she became a vegetarian during her last 30 yrs, not to mention all the strays she gave or found homes for. Angie was a devoted wife, mother and grandparent. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. Angie loved music, dancing, cooking and playing poker. She was enamored by the stars above! Angie will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her. WE LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH MOM XOXO! You were our best friend and we learned so much from you, especially how to love!
Angie was preceded in death by her loving son, Salvatore Lucido, Jr., her two husbands, Salvatore Lucido, Sr. and Robert C Dixon as well as her mother Grace S Faulkner and sister, Grace E Stein.
Angie is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Rees and Sally Lucido, son-in-law Michael Wetz, 8 grandchildren, Theresa Sublett, Alex Sublett, Christina Wetz, Michael Wetz,Jr., Kattie Lucido-Dominguez, Rachael Van den Berg, Sophia Lucido, and Angelina Lucido. Along with 15 great grandchildren. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.
