She was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 13, 1923 to Anna and Michael Moscatello. In 1944 Anne married the love of her life, John Casas and together they raised four children; Ann, John Jr., Linda, and Michael before moving to Clearwater from the Pocono Mountains 39 years ago.
As well as enjoying arts and crafts in her later years, she was an avid reader but her first love was singing. Anne has been known to sing along in stores, malls, and restaurants much to the embarrassment of her daughter. She enjoyed the fun, camaraderie, and afternoon teas as a member of the Red Hat Society.
Anne is preceded in death by her husband John, and sons John Jr. and Michael.
She is survived by her daughters; Ann (Tony) Bartenope of Young Harris, Georgia and Linda (Dennis) Smyth of Lecanto, Florida. She was a kind and loving grandmother who will be dearly missed by her 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
Words cannot express the depth of our gratitude to Laura, Megan, Tom and the 24 Hour On-Call Nurses of Accent Care Hospice, for their unwavering help and support during this challenging time. Their compassion, expertise, and genuine care have brought comfort and peace to Anne’s final months, and we are forever thankful for their guidance and dedication.
