Born on September 6, 1926, in Voutsi, Arcadia, Greece, Anneta was the beloved daughter of the late Chrysoula Nikolakopoulos and Christos Douridas. She was married in 1950 to her husband Nikolaos in Monastiraki, Arcadia and raised her seven children. In 1970, Anneta immigrated to the United States and settled in Omaha, NE. Subsequently, in 1982 she moved to Clearwater, where she spent the rest of her life.
Family and faith were paramount to Anneta. A devoted member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, she lived her faith through love, generosity, and service to others. She was a talented seamstress, known for her skillful hands and creative spirit, and she had a love for travel that reflected her curiosity and joy for the world. Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, whose warmth, strength, and wisdom will be cherished for generations.
Anneta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nikolaos Fotopoulos.
She is survived by her children: Margarita Hararis; Chrysoula (Nick) Andreopoulos; Maria Zahos; LTC (Ret) Vasilis (Joan) Fotopoulos; Eugenia (Kosta) Nikolopoulos; Dr. Theodore (Eleni) Fotopoulos; and Georgia (Rick) Gardner. She also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five siblings in Greece, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 409 S. Old Coachman Road, Clearwater, Florida 33765.
The committal service will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759.
