Anthony Gerald Linnert, age 77, passed away on June 23, 2022. Tony was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, papa, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Janice Linnert, four daughters, Theresa, Caroline, Colleen and Stephanie, along with siblings, Terrence Linnert and Michelle Linnert Jones. He is pre-deceased by his first wife, Lois and his brother, Ralph (Rick). He will also be missed by his nine grandchildren, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 20, 1944 to Ralph and Mary Linnert.
Tony, a proud alma mater of Notre Dame, finally retired from an amazing career in sales in the telecom industry. He tried to retire several times, but “Tony Boomerang Lazarus” just couldn’t stay away! His hobbies and interests included traveling, reading, watching college football (especially Notre Dame, Gators and Buckeyes), attending the kids’ sporting events, and lest we forget, a good martini. Tony was also an avid Tampa Rays fan, attending over 100 games with his good friend, Frank. And watching a Florida sunset brought him great joy. He will be remembered for his kind and generous heart, intelligence, and a great sense of humor.
