Anthony James Squarceri

Anthony James Squarceri, known to his family and friends as “Tony”, passed from this life into the arms of our Lord on Friday January 13, 2017. Tony was born in Popoli Italy on July 15, 1922, to Augustino and Angiolina Della Rocca Squarceri. He came to the United States with his family at the age of 8 and grew up in Wallingford Connecticut. Tony joined the US Army in February 1941, where he served with honor during World War II. In 1947, when the US Airforce was created, he joined and served until 1964. He then worked for the United States Postal Service for ten years. Tony was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Margaret Taylor, his twin daughters, Teresa Zagone and Mary Wilson, his parents Augustino and Angiolina Squarceri, and his sister Celia Squarceri Sittnick. Tony is survived by his loving wife Patricia Ann Dodd Davis Squarceri, step children Michael John Davis (Regina), Melissa Joy Brown (Doug). Grandchildren Melissa Wilson, Michael Wilson, Angela Zagone, Daniel Zagone, Andrew Russo (Rebekah), Cecelia Russo, Kaitlyn McGowan, Nick Brown, and one great-grandchild Jonathan Russo. A funeral service will be 10am Monday Jan 23rd at Light of Christ Catholic Church, 2176 Maryland St. Clearwater, FL 33756.
