Arlene Mae (Solze) Gurski

She was born in Benton, Ohio on July 14, 1933 to the late Vernon & Ruth (Musselman) Solze. Arlene graduated from Sycamore High School in 1951 and enjoyed a 27 year career with General Motors.

She loved watching her grandchildren grow up when she was in Ohio, and then moved to Florida to be closer to her other two granddaughters while they were still young. She enjoyed living close to the beach in Florida, and her hobby was collecting lighthouses. She also really liked to travel, and documented over 200 trips with family and travel groups.

Arlene will always be remembered for her kindness, willingness to help others, and her sweet laugh.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, Karen Hum and Denice Reidy, her grandchildren, Bryan Hum, Lindsey Pufall, Michaela Reidy and Mackenzie Reidy; also great grandchildren are Valerie Hum, Cameron Hum, Eric Hum and Zayn Reidy; and her brother, Charles Solze.

Arlene was preceded in death by her dear parents; brothers, Wayne and Richard, and sisters, Shirley and Wanda.
