Beatrice H Smithman, born Beatrice H Klaus in Glencoe MN, passed away September 23, 2015, at the age of 91. A Celebration of her good life will be held Wednesday, September 30 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater FL from 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening. A memorial mass will be held at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, Safety Harbor FL at 2505 Philippe Pkwy, Safety Harbor FL on Thursday, October 1 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Cemetery. Bea is survived by her beloved husband, Milton, of 67 years; 3 children, Linda Backer (Dan) of Palm Harbor, Nancy Petrie of Portland OR, John Smithman (Holly) of Sarasota, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Bea touched the lives of all those who knew her and will be truly missed and remembered for her good humor and her love of fashion, dancing and golf.
