Bernadette Claire Krause of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022. She was 88. Bernee was born on March 9, 1934 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents Alphonse Ryczek and Clara Kujawa.
Bernee Krause, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt was a beautiful soul with an angelic voice. Bernee’s passion was music and it started when she was a child and began taking voice lessons.
She was a classically trained opera singer, who enjoyed sharing her multi-octave soprano voice, and musical knowledge, with others while she was a music teacher and actively performed in South Florida city and church choirs for decades after she graduated from Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
When she retired, Bernee was often a featured soloist in the On Top of The World (OTOW) Choir, Theatre Workshop Group and Jesters. Bernee loved performing in numerous musicals and shows, often with her husband, Bob, at the OTOW Senior Living Community where she and Bob lived for 20 years. Bernee will be hugely missed by all who were blessed to know her and deeply touched by her music.
Surviving Family Members: Bernee is survived by her daughter Patricia and her partner, Luke, eldest son David, Son Glen and his wife Mary and their daughter Kelsey, and son Donald. She is also survived by her sister Geraldine and her husband Billy and their children and grandchildren, and her brother Mark and his wife Sandie and their son Matthew. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Myrt and their children, Diane and her husband Alex, and Daniel and his wife Lori and their children.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Sylvan Abbey at 11 am on January 7, 2023. All who knew Bernee are invited to attend. Sylvan Abbey is located at 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL.
