On December 13, 2024, Beverly Ann Gibson left us to join her beloved husband, her parents, and other loved ones waiting to greet her on The Other Side. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on September 20, 1945, to Evelyn and Raymond Puckett, and she grew up in Kettering, Ohio, with her little sister Linda. Beverly attended Fairmont High School, graduating in 1963, and in 1967 she earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science at the University of Dayton, where her father was a professor in Engineering Technology.
Beverly later returned to school for her teaching degree and became a Special Education teacher of gifted children, grades kindergarten through eighth grade. She lived and taught in Phoenix, Arizona; Farmington, New Mexico; and finally in Clearwater, Florida. In Florida, Beverly met and married her husband, Charles Gibson, also a teacher. They settled in Largo, Florida, both teaching until they retired.
Beverly is survived by her sister Linda Smith (Bernie Filipski); step-son Charles F. Gibson; step-son Joshua Gibson (Brandy Thomas), and four step-grandchildren, Victoria, Alexandria, Elizabeth, and William; two former step-daughters Sherry Palmer and Shelien Craft; and cousins Nina McFarlin, Douglas Starr, and Todd Marshall.
