Brittany MacCauley

She was predeceased by her two Sons, David Gregory Kern and Dr. David D Kern, an ER/Trauma center physician. Patsy was known for over 30 years as Patricia B. ‘Patsy’ Kern. Later we had her name changed legally to Brittany MacCauley for reasons unimportant here. Patsy was born on Long Island NY and moved with her parents to Middleburg Virginia and from there to New York City where she worked as a nurse. Then to the greater Miami area where she lived and worked as a nurse while we attended University of Miami in Coral Gables. We married in 1966. She has a degree in Nursing from Georgetown University and from St. Petersburg College and was a Registered Nurse all her adult lit. Patsy was a Victim Services Practitioner certified by the Florida Attorney General. She assisted victims of domestic violence in court when they were attempting to get an injunction for protection. She is survived by her Husband of 56 1/2 years, David and by a Sister, Sheila Burke in Virginia and a Brother Dudley Burke (Marie) in Brooklyn.
