It is with both heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Carmella “Dolly” Boreman, who left this world peacefully on May 25, 2025, in Clearwater, Florida, at the age of 103.
Born on September 17, 1921, in White Plains, New York, Dolly lived a life marked by love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. To know Dolly was to know warmth. Her arms were always open, her kitchen always full, and her heart always giving. She had a gift for making everyone feel at home, and her cooking—rich with love and tradition—brought generations together around her table.
Dolly’s love knew no limits. She would do anything for anyone, often putting the needs of others before her own with grace and without hesitation. Whether it was a warm meal, a wise word, or simply her calming presence, she gave fully and freely. Her joy came from giving, and nowhere was this more evident than in the way she doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spoiled them—not just with treats and surprises, but with boundless affection, attention, and stories from a century of life richly lived.
She also loved to sew and found great joy in making clothes for herself and her grandchildren. Her creativity and care were stitched into every piece.
Dolly leaves behind a loving and grateful family: her devoted son Butch, and daughter-in-law Kris; granddaughters, Erin (Mike) and Heather (Jay) who adored her; and great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Ryker and Keira, who will carry her memory and lessons in their hearts. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and enduring family bonds—values she nurtured every day of her life.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters, all of whom she loved dearly and now joins in eternal peace.
Though we mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing that Dolly's spirit lives on in every holiday meal shared, every act of kindness offered, and every story passed down. She was our matriarch, our safe haven, and our guiding light.
Rest peacefully, sweet GiGi. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed.
A celebration of life gathering for Dolly will be held Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 2:00-4:00pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
