Cathy Jane Pierce

75, of Oldsmar, Florida, and formerly of Wood Dale, Illinois, passed away June 10, 2026. Cathy was born in Lima, Ohio, to Norman and Lois (nee Rimer) Pierce. She graduated from Shawnee High School in Lima in 1969 and from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, in 1973. Cathy moved to Chicago to begin her successful accounting career with Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Co. followed by CNA Financial Corporation, before retiring and moving to Oldsmar in 2007. She was a proud alumna of Ohio State University and Alpha Xi Delta sorority. Cathy was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing, following her favorite sports teams, traveling, attending Florida Symphony Orchestra events and theatre productions, staying knowledgeable about current events, supporting many local and national non-profit organizations and spending time with her family who she loved. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Lloyd Marvin, Jr. Cathy is survived by her sisters, Suzanne Pierce of Palm Harbor, and Janet Marvin of Seminole; nieces, Amy (David) Riley of Loganville, Georgia, and Katie (Leroy) Bridges of Seminole; two great nieces Olivia and Sophia Riley and two great nephews Bishop Riley and Benjamin Bridges. Cathy will be deeply missed. Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
