Charles William Gibson

Charles “Chuck” William Gibson, 77, of Largo, Florida passed away peacefully November 30, 2024. Originally born in Winter Park, Florida on June 15, 1947 to parents Jennie and Charles Franklin Gibson Jr. Chuck graduated from Winter Park High School class of 1965. Right after graduation, Chuck served in the army during the Vietnam war, and then went on to train soldiers. After his service, Chuck would go on to raise his children Charles “Chuckie” Gibson and Joshua S. Gibson. He married his wife Beverly on June 12, 1993.

For over 25 years, he was a Marine Biology Teacher and a football coach in the Pinellas County area working at St. Petersburg, Countryside, and Largo High School. When Chuck was not working or being with his family, he was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching UCF Football and The Rays baseball games. He was also an active member of the National Rifle Association.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife Beverly, children Charles “Chuckie” Gibson and Joshua Gibson, a daughter in law Brandy Thomas, grandchildren Scarlet Cherry, Victoria Gibson, Alexandria Gibson, Elizabeth Gibson, and William Gibson, and many nieces and nephews.
