EMMERT, Charlotte Ruth, passed to life eternal on March 3, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Leetsdale, PA on August 25, 1923. She was the fourth daughter to Andrew and Ida Roman. On Christmas Day 1948, she married John Robert Emmert, also of Leetsdale, PA; they were residents of St. Petersburg since 1958. They raised a son, John Robert Emmert, Jr. (Robin) and two daughters, Cheryl Pejack (Bill), and Lorraine Schubert.
Charlotte was active in charitable organizations including the Boys and Girls clubs in Pinellas Park. She worked as a sales associate for two local family owned Jewelry stores. She was a lifelong Lutheran. Her most important job was serving the Lord by being active in church work. Over the years she was a Sunday School teacher, committee woman and led the Shepherd Program at her church. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and former member of Holy Comforter Lutheran and Garden of Peace Lutheran Churches. Charlotte loved teaching and playing cards, especially Gin, with her grandchildren.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, granddaughter, Char-Lee Torre and her three sisters. She is survived by her three children, her grandchildren, Jennifer Emmert (Chris), Rebecca Emmert (Justin), Bill Pejack Jr. (Darian), Rainey Schubert (Mike) and Andrea Pejack (Jeff) and six great-grandchildren, Desiree, Nathan, Rainey, Collin, Char-Lee and Indy, along with several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 3451 30th Ave. N., Saint Petersburg, FL on Sunday, March 21, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be on a later date at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations, in Charlotte’s name, to Christ Lutheran Church, 3451 30th Ave. N., Saint Petersburg, FL 33713.
