She was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on October 1, 1949 to the late Edward T and Genevieve (Cienkowski) Sydlik.
Chris met her husband, Gregory, in college where they both attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania; and, Chris achieved a bachelor’s degree in teaching. Afterward, life pointed her toward the U.S. Department of Energy where she rose to the Senior Executive level.
After her retirement, she loved walking around Safety Harbor, taking her fitness classes, like Zumba and Pilates, where she socialized with lovely ladies... She delighted in hanging out with her grandson Quinn! She loved helping children and volunteering to help read to them.
Chris’s faith was strong, and we are grateful that she is at Peace; but, she will be forever missed.
She is survived by her loving husband Gregory Phoebe and her beloved son Garrett (Sarabeth) Phoebe; her siblings, Antionette (Toni) Harshbarger, Edward Sydlik, and Veronica (Ronnie) Sydlik; and her grandchildren, Quinn, Tyler and Jocelyn.
Please join us on Thursday, July 2nd at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater, Florida from 11:30-12:30 for Visitation. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor, Florida followed by committal at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park with a reception to follow at the funeral home in the same location.
