Christine Cunningham Dromm

Christine Cunningham Dromm, age 77, of Clearwater, FL passed away on Tuesday February 3, 2026. Christine was born May 13, 1948 in Larchmont, NY. Shortly after her birth, her mother, Frances Murphy Cunningham passed away. She was raised by her extended family, led by her grandmother, Rose Murphy, and her aunts Mary (Mimi) Murphy and Rosemary Murphy Corrigan. Upon graduating from Mamaroneck High School in 1967, she attended Mount Marty College in South Dakota, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 1971.

On November 25, 1972 she married Jeffrey Arthur Dromm with her uncle, Father Jerry Murphy, officiating the ceremony. In 1978, they moved to Florida. Christine immediately began working at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL as an ICU nurse. In 2000, she completed her master’s degree in nursing education and transitioned into the education department. In 2021, after 43 years at Morton Plant Hospital, she retired.

Throughout her life, she exemplified the traits of love, kindness, and compassion for others. These traits made her an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a truly remarkable spirit that will be missed. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving spouse, Jeffrey Dromm; her children, Terrence Dromm (Heather) and Amy Arntz (Scott); and grandchildren, Alexander Dromm, Gabriel Dromm, Olivia Arntz, and Madeline Arntz.

Preceding Christine in death are her grandchild, Caleb Jeffrey Dromm; aunts, Rosemary Murphy Corrigan and Mary Murphy; grandmother, Rose Murphy.

A service in memory of Christine will be held on Saturday March 14th at 2PM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
