Born in Sparti, Greece, on March 10, 1935, Connie left everything familiar behind at 19 years old to build a new life in the US. The courage to step into the unknown, so young and on her own, would come to define her entire life. She carried it with her always: a quiet, unshakable strength and a perseverance that saw her through every challenge with grace.
If you knew Connie, you knew her home first. Her door was always open, and her table was always full. She had a gift for making anyone — family, friends, neighbors, strangers who became friends — feel instantly welcome. There was always a reason for Greek coffee, always a reason for dinner, and there was always far too much delicious food. She was generous, warm, and endlessly giving.
More than anything, Connie was an extraordinary mother and YiaYia. She showed empathy by living it, and she taught by example, to always look out for those who had less, to never turn away from someone in need, to lead with kindness and to be grateful for all that we had.
She was, and will remain, deeply loved and she will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.
A visitation for Connie will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Ascension Greek Orthodox Church. A funeral service will occur Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, address. A burial service and Makaria will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759.
