Danny Ray Humphries, a much-loved and devoted husband, father, and Poppa, went to be with The Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the age of 74. Danny was born and raised in Arkansas and spent most of his life there, but he has lived in Florida for the last few years.
Danny was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to the late Howard Humphries and Louise Humphries (Louise Keith) on September 2, 1950. He grew up in Hollywood, Arkansas, and graduated from Arkadelphia High School. He then graduated from Henderson State University, where he met the love of his life, Debbie (Baldwin). He and Debbie were married on August 17, 1973.
Danny and Debbie lived in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and then in Benton, Louisiana, before moving to Saline County, Arkansas, where they lived for many years. Following their daughters and grandchildren, they moved to Florida a few years ago.
Danny deeply loved God and Jesus, and his faith was an obvious part of his life. He was an active church community member until his health made that impossible. His love for the outdoors was apparent in his favorite hobbies, deer hunting, and fishing, which brought him great joy and sometimes food for his family!
In December of 2022, Danny had unexpected surgery that started the fight for his life. After many prayers and many months, he was able to go home but never walked again. Debbie has been his round-the-clock caregiver and a beautiful example of a devoted wife. His family knows that he is in Heaven now, walking and restored!
In addition to Debbie, his loving wife of over 51 years, Danny is survived by his oldest daughter, Misty Bedsole, and husband, Joey, and his youngest daughter, Lindsey Wilder. He was a best friend to his three beautiful grandchildren, who he loved and was so proud of: Keylee Bedsole, Michael Bedsole, and Mia Wilder. He is also survived by a brother, Kenny Humphries, and his wife, Cindy; niece and nephew, Leslie and Joey; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Renee and Chuck Turner; and a niece, Ashley Vaden. He also had many uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends who will always remember him for his kindness, sense of humor, and fun nature.
A cremation will be held for Danny in the coming days, and an intimate celebration of his life will be held soon. The family deeply appreciates your prayers during this difficult time. They thank everyone for their love and support.
