Darrell was preceded in death by his wife Ruth of 40 years, parents William & Dolly, and brother Robert. Darrell leaves his loving family: son Michael & Tamra Landis of Floral City, daughter Cynthia & Dennis McCloud of Palm Harbor, four grandsons David (Rachel) of Citrus Springs and Thomas Landis of Floral City, Connor and Daniel McCloud of Palm Harbor, and five great-grandchildren.
Darrell loved his family, sitting on the porch, growing roses & orchids, and fishing. Darrell was a screw machinist by trade and a skilled craftsman. His life statement: “If it is worth doing, do it right.” Darrell’s commitment to Ruth was above reproach and committed to her, “When we have children we will take them to church, so they will know Jesus.”
Because of Jesus, Dad can now affirm:
“And better is the day of one’s death than the day of one’s birth.” --Ecclesiastes 7:1
For now Dad is in the presence of the Lord! Thank You Jesus!
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” --Matthew 11:28
